The call announcement for an NCN scholarship

OFFER DESCRIPTION
Requirements:
NCN scholarships may be awarded to a person who meets the following criteria: - is a student of a full-time first-cycle degree program at a university in Poland.

In addition:
- strong mathematical background,
- basic knowledge of Linear Programming,
- good programming skills in Python, SQL, Matlab,
- confirmed participation in courses like programming, computer simulations, algebra,
mathematical analysis or similar,
- good knowledge of English (at least B2 level),
- strong motivation to conduct research in the field of the project.

Scope of work:
According to the proposals for funding of research projects “Non-parametric approaches for
the performance measurement of units with complex internal structure”, no.
2020/37/B/HS4/03125. In particular:
- designing and implementing complex linear and non-linear models in optimization
software,
- presenting results at research conferences,
- promoting the results of the project using other channels of communication (blogposts,
web page).

Conditions of employment:
The scholarship will be awarded from August 2021 or from September 2021.
Salary 2.500 PLN/month (it is the so-called “employer gross”). The scholarship agreement will be signed for one or two months with the possibility to 24 months extension.

- a transcript of academic record (all courses and grades received)
- motivation letter,
