Research interest

  • Understanding the structure, function and post-translational modifications of human transthyretin;
  • Studying the structural changes and changes in physicochemical properties of transthyretin that occur in the process leading to amyloid formation.
  • Understanding the role of human transthyretin in bio-mineralization and in response to cellular stress.
  • To studying the relationship between structural changes in transthyretin and the disease processes in which they occur.
