  • 2011: Awarded a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation under grant: PTA2011-6319-I (01.06.2012-20.09.2015).
  • 2011: PhD thesis awarded with the maximum distinction "cum laude por unanimidad" classification and an extraordinary PhD award.
  • 2011: Environmental Science & Technology Journal selected the article entitled “Environmental assessment of the CIESOL solar building after two years of operation” for the special session “Online-only virtual issue entitled Water-Energy Nexus”.
  • 2009:  Elsevier & ScienceDirect distinction for most downloaded articles in Journal of Renewable Energy in 2009.
